Sura 71 Nuh ((The Prophet) Nooh), ayah 21

  1. قَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا

    Translation by words

    قَالَ
    Said
    نُوحٌ
    Nuh,
    رَّبِّ
    "My Lord!
    إِنَّهُمْ
    Indeed, they
    عَصَوْنِى
    disobeyed me
    وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟
    and followed
    مَن
    (the one) who,
    لَّمْ
    (did) not
    يَزِدْهُ
    increase him
    مَالُهُۥ
    his wealth,
    وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ
    and his children
    إِلَّا
    except
    خَسَارًا
    (in) loss.

    Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.
