Sura 8 Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War), ayah 57
-
فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
Translation by words
- فَإِمَّا
- So if
- تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ
- you gain dominance over them
- فِى
- in
- ٱلْحَرْبِ
- the war,
- فَشَرِّدْ
- disperse
- بِهِم
- by them
- مَّنْ
- (those) who
- خَلْفَهُمْ
- (are) behind them,
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- يَذَّكَّرُونَ
- take heed.
So if you, (O Muhammad), gain dominance over them in war, disperse by (means of) them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded.
