Sura 9 At-Tawbah (The Repentance), ayah 30
-
وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُمْ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ ۖ يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
Translation by words
- وَقَالَتِ
- And said
- ٱلْيَهُودُ
- the Jews,
- عُزَيْرٌ
- "Uzair
- ٱبْنُ
- (is) son
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah."
- وَقَالَتِ
- And said
- ٱلنَّصَٰرَى
- the Christians,
- ٱلْمَسِيحُ
- "Messiah
- ٱبْنُ
- (is) son
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah."
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- قَوْلُهُم
- (is) their saying
- بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
- with their mouths,
- يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ
- they imitate
- قَوْلَ
- the saying
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- مِن
- before.
- قَبْلُ
- before.
- قَٰتَلَهُمُ
- (May) Allah destroy them.
- ٱللَّهُ
- (May) Allah destroy them.
- أَنَّىٰ
- How
- يُؤْفَكُونَ
- deluded are they!
The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah "; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved (before them). May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?
9:30
