Sura 9 At-Tawbah (The Repentance), ayah 54

  1. وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَنْ تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَمَا
    And not
    مَنَعَهُمْ
    prevents them
    أَن
    that
    تُقْبَلَ
    is accepted
    مِنْهُمْ
    from them
    نَفَقَٰتُهُمْ
    their contributions
    إِلَّآ
    except
    أَنَّهُمْ
    that they
    كَفَرُوا۟
    disbelieve
    بِٱللَّهِ
    in Allah
    وَبِرَسُولِهِۦ
    and in His Messenger,
    وَلَا
    and not
    يَأْتُونَ
    they come
    ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
    (to) the prayer
    إِلَّا
    except
    وَهُمْ
    while they
    كُسَالَىٰ
    (are) lazy,
    وَلَا
    and not
    يُنفِقُونَ
    they spend
    إِلَّا
    except
    وَهُمْ
    while they
    كَٰرِهُونَ
    (are) unwilling.

    And what prevents their expenditures from being accepted from them but that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger and that they come not to prayer except while they are lazy and that they do not spend except while they are unwilling.
