Sura 9 At-Tawbah (The Repentance), ayah 79

  1. الَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ الْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ ۙ سَخِرَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

    Translation by words

    ٱلَّذِينَ
    Those who
    يَلْمِزُونَ
    criticize
    ٱلْمُطَّوِّعِينَ
    the ones who give willingly
    مِنَ
    of
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    the believers
    فِى
    concerning
    ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ
    the charities,
    وَٱلَّذِينَ
    and those who
    لَا
    not
    يَجِدُونَ
    find
    إِلَّا
    except
    جُهْدَهُمْ
    their effort,
    فَيَسْخَرُونَ
    so they ridicule
    مِنْهُمْ
    them,
    سَخِرَ
    Allah will ridicule
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah will ridicule
    مِنْهُمْ
    them,
    وَلَهُمْ
    and for them
    عَذَابٌ
    (is) a punishment
    أَلِيمٌ
    painful.

    Those who criticize the contributors among the believers concerning (their) charities and (criticize) the ones who find nothing (to spend) except their effort, so they ridicule them - Allah will ridicule them, and they will have a painful punishment.
