Sura 10 Yunus (Jonas), ayah 49
-
قُلْ لَا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۚ إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
Translation by words

- Say,
- لَّآ
- "Not
- أَمْلِكُ
- I have power
- لِنَفْسِى
- for myself
- ضَرًّا
- (for) any harm
- وَلَا
- and not
- نَفْعًا
- (for) any profit
- إِلَّا
- except
- مَا
- what
- شَآءَ
- Allah wills.
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah wills.
- لِكُلِّ
- For every
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- أَجَلٌ
- (is) a term.
- إِذَا
- When
- جَآءَ
- comes
- أَجَلُهُمْ
- their term,
- فَلَا
- then not
- يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ
- they remain behind
- سَاعَةً
- an hour,
- وَلَا
- and not
- يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
- they can precede (it)."
Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a (specified) term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede (it)."

Translation: Saheeh International
