Sura 12 Yusuf (Joseph), ayah 47

قَالَ تَزْرَعُونَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ دَأَبًا فَمَا حَصَدْتُمْ فَذَرُوهُ فِي سُنْبُلِهِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ
Translation by words
- قَالَ
- He said,
- تَزْرَعُونَ
- "You will sow
- سَبْعَ
- (for) seven
- سِنِينَ
- years,
- دَأَبًا
- as usual,
- فَمَا
- and that which
- حَصَدتُّمْ
- you reap
- فَذَرُوهُ
- so leave it
- فِى
- in
- سُنۢبُلِهِۦٓ
- its ears
- إِلَّا
- except
- قَلِيلًا
- a little
- مِّمَّا
- from which
- تَأْكُلُونَ
- you (will) eat.
(Joseph) said, "You will plant for seven years consecutively; and what you harvest leave in its spikes, except a little from which you will eat.
