Sura 12 Yusuf (Joseph), ayah 48

1. ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ سَبْعٌ شِدَادٌ يَأْكُلْنَ مَا قَدَّمْتُمْ لَهُنَّ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِمَّا تُحْصِنُونَ

   Translation by words

   ثُمَّ

   Then

   يَأْتِى

   will come

   مِنۢ

   after

   بَعْدِ

   after

   ذَٰلِكَ

   that

   سَبْعٌ

   seven

   شِدَادٌ

   hard (years)

   يَأْكُلْنَ

   (which will) consume

   مَا

   what

   قَدَّمْتُمْ

   you advanced

   لَهُنَّ

   for them,

   إِلَّا

   except

   قَلِيلًا

   a little

   مِّمَّا

   of what

   تُحْصِنُونَ

   you (will) store.

   Then will come after that seven difficult (years) which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store.

Translation: Saheeh International
