Sura 12 Yusuf (Joseph), ayah 70
-
فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمْ بِجَهَازِهِمْ جَعَلَ السِّقَايَةَ فِي رَحْلِ أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ أَيَّتُهَا الْعِيرُ إِنَّكُمْ لَسَارِقُونَ
Translation by words
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- جَهَّزَهُم
- he had furnished them
- بِجَهَازِهِمْ
- with their supplies,
- جَعَلَ
- he put
- ٱلسِّقَايَةَ
- the drinking cup
- فِى
- in
- رَحْلِ
- the bag
- أَخِيهِ
- (of) his brother.
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- أَذَّنَ
- called out
- مُؤَذِّنٌ
- an announcer
- أَيَّتُهَا
- "O you
- ٱلْعِيرُ
- (in) the caravan!
- إِنَّكُمْ
- Indeed, you
- لَسَٰرِقُونَ
- surely (are) thieves."
So when he had furnished them with their supplies, he put the (gold measuring) bowl into the bag of his brother. Then an announcer called out, "O caravan, indeed you are thieves."
