Sura 12 Yusuf (Joseph), ayah 97

1. قَالُوا يَا أَبَانَا اسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا خَاطِئِينَ

   Translation by words

   قَالُوا۟

   They said,

   يَٰٓأَبَانَا

   "O our father!

   ٱسْتَغْفِرْ

   Ask forgiveness

   لَنَا

   for us

   ذُنُوبَنَآ

   (of) our sins.

   إِنَّا

   Indeed, we

   كُنَّا

   have been

   خَٰطِـِٔينَ

   sinners."

   They said, "O our father, ask for us forgiveness of our sins; indeed, we have been sinners."

   12:97
