Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 110

  1. قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَٰنَ ۖ أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا

    Translation by words

    قُلِ
    Say,
    ٱدْعُوا۟
    "Invoke
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    أَوِ
    or
    ٱدْعُوا۟
    invoke
    ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ
    the Most Gracious.
    أَيًّا
    By whatever (name)
    مَّا
    By whatever (name)
    تَدْعُوا۟
    you invoke,
    فَلَهُ
    to Him (belongs)
    ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ
    the Most Beautiful Names.
    ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
    the Most Beautiful Names.
    وَلَا
    And (do) not
    تَجْهَرْ
    be loud
    بِصَلَاتِكَ
    in your prayers
    وَلَا
    and not
    تُخَافِتْ
    be silent
    بِهَا
    therein,
    وَٱبْتَغِ
    but seek
    بَيْنَ
    between
    ذَٰلِكَ
    that
    سَبِيلًا
    a way."

    Say, "Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever (name) you call - to Him belong the best names." And do not recite (too) loudly in your prayer or (too) quietly but seek between that an (intermediate) way.
