Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 2
-
وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ هُدًى لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلَّا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِي وَكِيلًا
Translation by words
- وَءَاتَيْنَا
- And We gave
- مُوسَى
- Musa
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book,
- وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ
- and made it
- هُدًى
- a guidance
- لِّبَنِىٓ
- for the Children
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- (of) Israel,
- أَلَّا
- "That not
- تَتَّخِذُوا۟
- you take
- مِن
- other than Me
- دُونِى
- other than Me
- وَكِيلًا
- (as) a Disposer of affairs."
And We gave Moses the Scripture and made it a guidance for the Children of Israel that you not take other than Me as Disposer of affairs,
17:2
