Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 40
-
أَفَأَصْفَاكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ وَاتَّخَذَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنَاثًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلًا عَظِيمًا
Translation by words
- أَفَأَصْفَىٰكُمْ
- Then has your Lord chosen (for) you
- رَبُّكُم
- Then has your Lord chosen (for) you
- بِٱلْبَنِينَ
- sons
- وَٱتَّخَذَ
- and He has taken
- مِنَ
- from
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
- the Angels
- إِنَٰثًا
- daughters?
- إِنَّكُمْ
- Indeed, you
- لَتَقُولُونَ
- surely say
- قَوْلًا
- a word
- عَظِيمًا
- grave.
Then, has your Lord chosen you for (having) sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying.

Translation: Saheeh International
