Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 62

  1. قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

    Translation by words

    قَالَ
    He said,
    أَرَءَيْتَكَ
    "Do You see
    هَٰذَا
    this
    ٱلَّذِى
    whom
    كَرَّمْتَ
    You have honored,
    عَلَىَّ
    above me?
    لَئِنْ
    If
    أَخَّرْتَنِ
    You give me respite
    إِلَىٰ
    till
    يَوْمِ
    (the) Day
    ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
    (of) the Resurrection,
    لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ
    I will surely destroy
    ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ
    his offspring
    إِلَّا
    except
    قَلِيلًا
    a few."

    (Iblees) said, "Do You see this one whom You have honored above me? If You delay me until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely destroy his descendants, except for a few."
