Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 93

  1. أَوْ يَكُونَ لَكَ بَيْتٌ مِنْ زُخْرُفٍ أَوْ تَرْقَىٰ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لِرُقِيِّكَ حَتَّىٰ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابًا نَقْرَؤُهُ ۗ قُلْ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي هَلْ كُنْتُ إِلَّا بَشَرًا رَسُولًا

    Translation by words

    أَوْ
    Or
    يَكُونَ
    is
    لَكَ
    for you
    بَيْتٌ
    a house
    مِّن
    of
    زُخْرُفٍ
    ornament
    أَوْ
    or
    تَرْقَىٰ
    you ascend
    فِى
    into
    ٱلسَّمَآءِ
    the sky.
    وَلَن
    And never
    نُّؤْمِنَ
    we will believe
    لِرُقِيِّكَ
    in your ascension
    حَتَّىٰ
    until
    تُنَزِّلَ
    you bring down
    عَلَيْنَا
    to us
    كِتَٰبًا
    a book
    نَّقْرَؤُهُۥ
    we could read it."
    قُلْ
    Say,
    سُبْحَانَ
    "Glorified (is)
    رَبِّى
    my Lord!
    هَلْ
    "What
    كُنتُ
    am I
    إِلَّا
    but
    بَشَرًا
    a human,
    رَّسُولًا
    a Messenger."

    Or you have a house of gold or you ascend into the sky. And (even then), we will not believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a book we may read." Say, "Exalted is my Lord! Was I ever but a human messenger?"
