Sura 18 Al-Kahf (The Cave), ayah 54

  1. وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ أَكْثَرَ شَيْءٍ جَدَلًا

    Translation by words

    وَلَقَدْ
    And certainly,
    صَرَّفْنَا
    We have explained
    فِى
    in
    هَٰذَا
    this
    ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
    the Quran
    لِلنَّاسِ
    for mankind
    مِن
    of
    كُلِّ
    every
    مَثَلٍ
    example.
    وَكَانَ
    But is
    ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
    the man
    أَكْثَرَ
    (in) most
    شَىْءٍ
    things
    جَدَلًا
    quarrelsome.

    And We have certainly diversified in this Qur'an for the people from every (kind of) example; but man has ever been, most of anything, (prone to) dispute.

    18:54
