Sura 18 Al-Kahf (The Cave), ayah 71

  1. فَانْطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا ۖ قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا إِمْرًا

    Translation by words

    فَٱنطَلَقَا
    So they both set out
    حَتَّىٰٓ
    until
    إِذَا
    when
    رَكِبَا
    they had embarked
    فِى
    on
    ٱلسَّفِينَةِ
    the ship
    خَرَقَهَا
    he made a hole in it.
    قَالَ
    He said,
    أَخَرَقْتَهَا
    "Have you made a hole in it,
    لِتُغْرِقَ
    to drown
    أَهْلَهَا
    its people?
    لَقَدْ
    Certainly,
    جِئْتَ
    you have done
    شَيْـًٔا
    a thing
    إِمْرًا
    grave."

    So they set out, until when they had embarked on the ship, al-Khidh r tore it open. (Moses) said, "Have you torn it open to drown its people? You have certainly done a grave thing."
