Sura 22 Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage), ayah 28

  1. لِيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِنْ بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ ۖ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ

    Translation by words

    لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟
    That they may witness
    مَنَٰفِعَ
    benefits
    لَهُمْ
    for them,
    وَيَذْكُرُوا۟
    and mention
    ٱسْمَ
    (the) name
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    فِىٓ
    on
    أَيَّامٍ
    days
    مَّعْلُومَٰتٍ
    known
    عَلَىٰ
    over
    مَا
    what
    رَزَقَهُم
    He has provided them
    مِّنۢ
    of
    بَهِيمَةِ
    (the) beast
    ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
    (of) cattle.
    فَكُلُوا۟
    So eat
    مِنْهَا
    of them
    وَأَطْعِمُوا۟
    and feed
    ٱلْبَآئِسَ
    the miserable,
    ٱلْفَقِيرَ
    the poor.

    That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of (sacrificial) animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.
