Sura 25 Al-Furqan (The Criterion), ayah 63

  1. وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا

    Translation by words

    وَعِبَادُ
    And (the) slaves
    ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
    (of) the Most Gracious
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (are) those who
    يَمْشُونَ
    walk
    عَلَى
    on
    ٱلْأَرْضِ
    the earth
    هَوْنًا
    (in) humbleness
    وَإِذَا
    and when
    خَاطَبَهُمُ
    address them
    ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ
    the ignorant ones,
    قَالُوا۟
    they say,
    سَلَٰمًا
    "Peace."

    And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them (harshly), they say (words of) peace,

    25:63
