Sura 25 Al-Furqan (The Criterion), ayah 7

  1. وَقَالُوا مَالِ هَٰذَا الرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِي فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُ نَذِيرًا

    Translation by words

    وَقَالُوا۟
    And they say,
    مَالِ
    "Why does
    هَٰذَا
    this
    ٱلرَّسُولِ
    Messenger
    يَأْكُلُ
    eat
    ٱلطَّعَامَ
    [the] food
    وَيَمْشِى
    and walk
    فِى
    in
    ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ
    the markets?
    لَوْلَآ
    Why not
    أُنزِلَ
    is sent down
    إِلَيْهِ
    to him
    مَلَكٌ
    an Angel
    فَيَكُونَ
    then he be
    مَعَهُۥ
    with him
    نَذِيرًا
    a warner?

    And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?
