Sura 25 Al-Furqan (The Criterion), ayah 9

1. انْظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا

   Translation by words

   ٱنظُرْ

   See

   كَيْفَ

   how

   ضَرَبُوا۟

   they set forth

   لَكَ

   for you

   ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ

   the similitudes,

   فَضَلُّوا۟

   but they have gone astray,

   فَلَا

   so not

   يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

   they are able (to find)

   سَبِيلًا

   a way.

   Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot (find) a way.
