Sura 27 An-Naml (The Ant), ayah 15

  1. وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ عِلْمًا ۖ وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَقَدْ
    And verily,
    ءَاتَيْنَا
    We gave
    دَاوُۥدَ
    Dawood
    وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ
    and Sulaiman
    عِلْمًا
    knowledge,
    وَقَالَا
    and they said,
    ٱلْحَمْدُ
    "Praise be
    لِلَّهِ
    to Allah
    ٱلَّذِى
    the One Who
    فَضَّلَنَا
    has favored us
    عَلَىٰ
    over
    كَثِيرٍ
    many
    مِّنْ
    of
    عِبَادِهِ
    His servants
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    the believers."

    And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise (is due) to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants."
