Sura 27 An-Naml (The Ant), ayah 32

  1. قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ

    Translation by words

    قَالَتْ
    She said,
    يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
    "O
    ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟
    chiefs!
    أَفْتُونِى
    Advise me
    فِىٓ
    in
    أَمْرِى
    my affair.
    مَا
    Not
    كُنتُ
    I would be
    قَاطِعَةً
    the one to decide
    أَمْرًا
    any matter
    حَتَّىٰ
    until
    تَشْهَدُونِ
    you are present with me."

    She said, "O eminent ones, advise me in my affair. I would not decide a matter until you witness (for) me."
