Sura 27 An-Naml (The Ant), ayah 45

  1. وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَقَدْ
    And certainly,
    أَرْسَلْنَآ
    We sent
    إِلَىٰ
    to
    ثَمُودَ
    Thamud
    أَخَاهُمْ
    their brother
    صَٰلِحًا
    Salih
    أَنِ
    that,
    ٱعْبُدُوا۟
    "Worship
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah."
    فَإِذَا
    Then behold!
    هُمْ
    They
    فَرِيقَانِ
    (became) two parties
    يَخْتَصِمُونَ
    quarreling.

    And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother Salih, (saying), "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting.
