Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 16

  1. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

    Translation by words

    قَالَ
    He said,
    رَبِّ
    "My Lord!
    إِنِّى
    Indeed, I
    ظَلَمْتُ
    [I] have wronged
    نَفْسِى
    my soul,
    فَٱغْفِرْ
    so forgive
    لِى
    [for] me."
    فَغَفَرَ
    Then He forgave
    لَهُۥٓ
    [for] him.
    إِنَّهُۥ
    Indeed He,
    هُوَ
    He (is)
    ٱلْغَفُورُ
    the Oft-Forgiving,
    ٱلرَّحِيمُ
    the Most Merciful.

    He said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive me," and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
