Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 17

1. قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ

   Translation by words

   قَالَ

   He said,

   رَبِّ

   "My Lord!

   بِمَآ

   Because

   أَنْعَمْتَ

   You have favored

   عَلَىَّ

   [on] me,

   فَلَنْ

   so not

   أَكُونَ

   I will be

   ظَهِيرًا

   a supporter

   لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ

   (of) the criminals."

   He said, "My Lord, for the favor You bestowed upon me, I will never be an assistant to the criminals."
