Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 44

  1. وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الْغَرْبِيِّ إِذْ قَضَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَى الْأَمْرَ وَمَا كُنْتَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

    Translation by words

    وَمَا
    And not
    كُنتَ
    you were
    بِجَانِبِ
    on (the) side
    ٱلْغَرْبِىِّ
    western
    إِذْ
    when
    قَضَيْنَآ
    We decreed
    إِلَىٰ
    to
    مُوسَى
    Musa
    ٱلْأَمْرَ
    the Commandment
    وَمَا
    and not
    كُنتَ
    you were
    مِنَ
    among
    ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
    the witnesses.

    And you, (O Muhammad), were not on the western side (of the mount) when We revealed to Moses the command, and you were not among the witnesses (to that).
