Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 63

  1. قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا ۖ تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ ۖ مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ

    Translation by words

    قَالَ
    (Will) say
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those -
    حَقَّ
    (has) come true
    عَلَيْهِمُ
    against whom
    ٱلْقَوْلُ
    the Word,
    رَبَّنَا
    "Our Lord!
    هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
    These
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (are) those whom
    أَغْوَيْنَآ
    we led astray.
    أَغْوَيْنَٰهُمْ
    We led them astray
    كَمَا
    as
    غَوَيْنَا
    we were astray.
    تَبَرَّأْنَآ
    We declare our innocence
    إِلَيْكَ
    before You.
    مَا
    Not
    كَانُوٓا۟
    they used (to)
    إِيَّانَا
    worship us."
    يَعْبُدُونَ
    worship us."

    Those upon whom the word will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation (from them) to You. They did not used to worship us."
