Sura 29 Al-'Ankabut (The Spider), ayah 32

  1. قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًا ۚ قَالُوا نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيهَا ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ

    Translation by words

    قَالَ
    He said,
    إِنَّ
    "Indeed,
    فِيهَا
    in it
    لُوطًا
    (is) Lut."
    قَالُوا۟
    They said,
    نَحْنُ
    "We
    أَعْلَمُ
    know better
    بِمَن
    who
    فِيهَا
    (is) in it.
    لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥ
    We will surely save him
    وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ
    and his family,
    إِلَّا
    except
    ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ
    his wife.
    كَانَتْ
    She
    مِنَ
    (is) of
    ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
    those who remain behind."

    (Abraham) said, "Indeed, within it is Lot." They said, "We are more knowing of who is within it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife. She is to be of those who remain behind."
