Sura 29 Al-'Ankabut (The Spider), ayah 63

  1. وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهَا لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَئِن
    And if
    سَأَلْتَهُم
    you ask them,
    مَّن
    "Who
    نَّزَّلَ
    sends down
    مِنَ
    from
    ٱلسَّمَآءِ
    the sky
    مَآءً
    water
    فَأَحْيَا
    and gives life
    بِهِ
    thereby
    ٱلْأَرْضَ
    (to) the earth
    مِنۢ
    after
    بَعْدِ
    after
    مَوْتِهَا
    its death?"
    لَيَقُولُنَّ
    Surely, they would say,
    ٱللَّهُ
    "Allah."
    قُلِ
    Say,
    ٱلْحَمْدُ
    "All Praises
    لِلَّهِ
    (are) for Allah."
    بَلْ
    But
    أَكْثَرُهُمْ
    most of them
    لَا
    (do) not
    يَعْقِلُونَ
    use reason.

    And if you asked them, "Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?" they would surely say " Allah." Say, "Praise to Allah "; but most of them do not reason.
