Sura 29 Al-'Ankabut (The Spider), ayah 64

  1. وَمَا هَٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَمَا
    And not
    هَٰذِهِ
    (is) this
    ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
    life
    ٱلدُّنْيَآ
    (of) the world
    إِلَّا
    but
    لَهْوٌ
    amusement
    وَلَعِبٌ
    and play.
    وَإِنَّ
    And indeed,
    ٱلدَّارَ
    the Home
    ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
    (of) the Hereafter -
    لَهِىَ
    surely, it
    ٱلْحَيَوَانُ
    (is) the life,
    لَوْ
    if only
    كَانُوا۟
    they
    يَعْلَمُونَ
    know.

    And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the (eternal) life, if only they knew.
