Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 179

وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَاةٌ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Translation by words
- وَلَكُمْ
- And for you
- فِى
- in
- ٱلْقِصَاصِ
- the legal retribution
- حَيَوٰةٌ
- (is) life,
- يَٰٓأُو۟لِى
- O men
- ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
- (of) understanding!
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- So that you may
- تَتَّقُونَ
- (become) righteous.
And there is for you in legal retribution (saving of) life, O you (people) of understanding, that you may become righteous.
