Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 181

  1. فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَمَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

    Translation by words

    فَمَنۢ
    Then whoever
    بَدَّلَهُۥ
    changes it
    بَعْدَمَا
    after what
    سَمِعَهُۥ
    he (has) heard [it],
    فَإِنَّمَآ
    so only
    إِثْمُهُۥ
    its sin
    عَلَى
    (would be) on
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    يُبَدِّلُونَهُۥٓ
    alter it.
    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    سَمِيعٌ
    (is) All-Hearing,
    عَلِيمٌ
    All-Knowing.

    Then whoever alters the bequest after he has heard it - the sin is only upon those who have altered it. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
