Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 257

  1. اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُمْ مِنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

    Translation by words

    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah
    وَلِىُّ
    (is the) Protecting Guardian
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (of) those who
    ءَامَنُوا۟
    believe[d].
    يُخْرِجُهُم
    He brings them out
    مِّنَ
    from
    ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
    [the] darkness
    إِلَى
    towards
    ٱلنُّورِ
    [the] light.
    وَٱلَّذِينَ
    And those who
    كَفَرُوٓا۟
    disbelieve(d)
    أَوْلِيَآؤُهُمُ
    their guardians
    ٱلطَّٰغُوتُ
    (are) the evil ones,
    يُخْرِجُونَهُم
    they bring them out
    مِّنَ
    from
    ٱلنُّورِ
    the light
    إِلَى
    towards
    ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
    [the] darkness.
    أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
    Those
    أَصْحَٰبُ
    (are the) companions
    ٱلنَّارِ
    (of) the Fire,
    هُمْ
    they
    فِيهَا
    in it
    خَٰلِدُونَ
    will abide forever.

    Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve - their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
