Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 65

  1. وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَوْا مِنْكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُوا قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَقَدْ
    And indeed,
    عَلِمْتُمُ
    you knew
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    ٱعْتَدَوْا۟
    transgressed
    مِنكُمْ
    among you
    فِى
    in
    ٱلسَّبْتِ
    the (matter of) Sabbath.
    فَقُلْنَا
    So We said
    لَهُمْ
    to them,
    كُونُوا۟
    "Be
    قِرَدَةً
    apes,
    خَٰسِـِٔينَ
    despised."

    And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath, and We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
