Sura 31 Luqman, ayah 12
-
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ
Translation by words
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily,
- ءَاتَيْنَا
- We gave
- لُقْمَٰنَ
- Luqman
- ٱلْحِكْمَةَ
- the wisdom
- أَنِ
- that,
- ٱشْكُرْ
- "Be grateful
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah."
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- يَشْكُرْ
- (is) grateful
- فَإِنَّمَا
- then only
- يَشْكُرُ
- he is grateful
- لِنَفْسِهِۦ
- for himself.
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- كَفَرَ
- (is) ungrateful,
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed,
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- غَنِىٌّ
- (is) Free of need,
- حَمِيدٌ
- Praiseworthy.
And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom (and said), "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful is grateful for (the benefit of) himself. And whoever denies (His favor) - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
31:12
