Sura 31 Luqman, ayah 32
-
وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُمْ مَوْجٌ كَالظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُمْ مُقْتَصِدٌ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُورٍ
Translation by words
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- غَشِيَهُم
- covers them
- مَّوْجٌ
- a wave
- كَٱلظُّلَلِ
- like canopies,
- دَعَوُا۟
- they call
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah,
- مُخْلِصِينَ
- (being) sincere
- لَهُ
- to Him
- ٱلدِّينَ
- (in) religion.
- فَلَمَّا
- But when
- نَجَّىٰهُمْ
- He delivers them
- إِلَى
- to
- ٱلْبَرِّ
- the land
- فَمِنْهُم
- then among them
- مُّقْتَصِدٌ
- (some are) moderate.
- وَمَا
- And not
- يَجْحَدُ
- deny
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
- Our Signs
- إِلَّا
- except
- كُلُّ
- every
- خَتَّارٍ
- traitor
- كَفُورٍ
- ungrateful.
And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, there are (some) of them who are moderate (in faith). And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
31:32
