Sura 33 Al-Ahzab (Those who took up arms), ayah 10
-
إِذْ جَاءُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ وَإِذْ زَاغَتِ الْأَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّونَ بِاللَّهِ الظُّنُونَا
Translation by words
- إِذْ
- When
- جَآءُوكُم
- they came upon you
- مِّن
- from
- فَوْقِكُمْ
- above you
- وَمِنْ
- and from
- أَسْفَلَ
- below
- مِنكُمْ
- you,
- وَإِذْ
- and when
- زَاغَتِ
- grew wild
- ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ
- the eyes
- وَبَلَغَتِ
- and reached
- ٱلْقُلُوبُ
- the hearts
- ٱلْحَنَاجِرَ
- the throats,
- وَتَظُنُّونَ
- and you assumed
- بِٱللَّهِ
- about Allah
- ٱلظُّنُونَا۠
- the assumptions.
(Remember) when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted (in fear), and hearts reached the throats and you assumed about Allah (various) assumptions.
33:10
