Sura 36 Ya-Sin (Ya Sin), ayah 8

  1. إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلَالًا فَهِيَ إِلَى الْأَذْقَانِ فَهُمْ مُقْمَحُونَ

    Translation by words

    إِنَّا
    Indeed, We
    جَعَلْنَا
    [We] have placed
    فِىٓ
    on
    أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ
    their necks
    أَغْلَٰلًا
    iron collars,
    فَهِىَ
    and they
    إِلَى
    (are up) to
    ٱلْأَذْقَانِ
    the chins,
    فَهُم
    so they
    مُّقْمَحُونَ
    (are with) heads raised up.

    Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads (kept) aloft.

    36:8
