Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 162

  1. أَفَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ كَمَنْ بَاءَ بِسَخَطٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ ۚ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

    Translation by words

    أَفَمَنِ
    So is (the one) who
    ٱتَّبَعَ
    pursues
    رِضْوَٰنَ
    (the) pleasure
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    كَمَنۢ
    like (the one) who
    بَآءَ
    draws
    بِسَخَطٍ
    on (himself) wrath
    مِّنَ
    of
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah
    وَمَأْوَىٰهُ
    and his abode
    جَهَنَّمُ
    (is) hell,
    وَبِئْسَ
    and wretched
    ٱلْمَصِيرُ
    (is) the destination?

    So is one who pursues the pleasure of Allah like one who brings upon himself the anger of Allah and whose refuge is Hell? And wretched is the destination.
