Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 69

1. وَدَّتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يُضِلُّونَكُمْ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

   Translation by words

   وَدَّت

   Wished

   طَّآئِفَةٌ

   a group

   مِّنْ

   from

   أَهْلِ

   (the) People

   ٱلْكِتَٰبِ

   (of) the Book

   لَوْ

   if

   يُضِلُّونَكُمْ

   they could lead you astray,

   وَمَا

   and not

   يُضِلُّونَ

   they lead astray

   إِلَّآ

   except

   أَنفُسَهُمْ

   themselves

   وَمَا

   and not

   يَشْعُرُونَ

   they perceive.

   A faction of the people of the Scripture wish they could mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they perceive (it) not.

   3:69
