Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 98

  1. قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا تَعْمَلُونَ

    Translation by words

    قُلْ
    Say,
    يَٰٓأَهْلَ
    "O People
    ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
    (of) the Book!
    لِمَ
    Why
    تَكْفُرُونَ
    (do) you disbelieve
    بِـَٔايَٰتِ
    in (the) Verses
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah,
    وَٱللَّهُ
    while Allah
    شَهِيدٌ
    (is) a Witness
    عَلَىٰ
    over
    مَا
    what
    تَعْمَلُونَ
    you do?"

    Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while Allah is Witness over what you do?"

    3:98
