Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 10

  1. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ مَقْتِكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ

    Translation by words

    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    كَفَرُوا۟
    disbelieved
    يُنَادَوْنَ
    will be cried out to them,
    لَمَقْتُ
    "Certainly Allah's hatred
    ٱللَّهِ
    "Certainly Allah's hatred
    أَكْبَرُ
    (was) greater
    مِن
    than
    مَّقْتِكُمْ
    your hatred
    أَنفُسَكُمْ
    (of) yourselves
    إِذْ
    when
    تُدْعَوْنَ
    you were called
    إِلَى
    to
    ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ
    the faith,
    فَتَكْفُرُونَ
    and you disbelieved.

    Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was (even) greater than your hatred of yourselves (this Day in Hell) when you were invited to faith, but you refused."

    40:10
