Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 11

  1. قَالُوا رَبَّنَا أَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٍ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ

    Translation by words

    قَالُوا۟
    They (will) say,
    رَبَّنَآ
    "Our Lord!
    أَمَتَّنَا
    You gave us death
    ٱثْنَتَيْنِ
    twice
    وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا
    and You gave us life
    ٱثْنَتَيْنِ
    twice,
    فَٱعْتَرَفْنَا
    and we confess
    بِذُنُوبِنَا
    our sins.
    فَهَلْ
    So is (there)
    إِلَىٰ
    to
    خُرُوجٍ
    get out
    مِّن
    any
    سَبِيلٍ
    way?"

    They will say, "Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way?"
