Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 12

  1. ذَٰلِكُمْ بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا ۚ فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ

    Translation by words

    ذَٰلِكُم
    "That
    بِأَنَّهُۥٓ
    (is) because,
    إِذَا
    when
    دُعِىَ
    Allah was invoked
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah was invoked
    وَحْدَهُۥ
    Alone
    كَفَرْتُمْ
    you disbelieved;
    وَإِن
    but if
    يُشْرَكْ
    (others) were associated
    بِهِۦ
    with Him,
    تُؤْمِنُوا۟
    you believed.
    فَٱلْحُكْمُ
    So the judgment
    لِلَّهِ
    (is) with Allah,
    ٱلْعَلِىِّ
    the Most High,
    ٱلْكَبِيرِ
    the Most Great."

    (They will be told), "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allah, the Most High, the Grand."
