Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 84
-
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ
Translation by words
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- رَأَوْا۟
- they saw
- بَأْسَنَا
- Our punishment
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they said,
- ءَامَنَّا
- "We believe
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- وَحْدَهُۥ
- Alone
- وَكَفَرْنَا
- and we disbelieve
- بِمَا
- in what
- كُنَّا
- we used to
- بِهِۦ
- with Him
- مُشْرِكِينَ
- associate."
And when they saw Our punishment, they said," We believe in Allah alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate with Him."
40:84
