Sura 41 Fussilat (Explained In Detail), ayah 45
-
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۗ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
Translation by words
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly,
- ءَاتَيْنَا
- We gave
- مُوسَى
- Musa
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book,
- فَٱخْتُلِفَ
- but disputes arose
- فِيهِ
- therein.
- وَلَوْلَا
- And had it not been
- كَلِمَةٌ
- (for) a word
- سَبَقَتْ
- (that) preceded
- مِن
- from
- رَّبِّكَ
- your Lord,
- لَقُضِىَ
- surely, would have been settled
- بَيْنَهُمْ
- between them.
- وَإِنَّهُمْ
- But indeed, they
- لَفِى
- surely (are) in
- شَكٍّ
- doubt
- مِّنْهُ
- about it
- مُرِيبٍ
- disquieting.
And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur'an, in disquieting doubt.
41:45
