Sura 41 Fussilat (Explained In Detail), ayah 51

1. وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأَىٰ بِجَانِبِهِ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَاءٍ عَرِيضٍ

   Translation by words

   وَإِذَآ

   And when

   أَنْعَمْنَا

   We bestow favor

   عَلَى

   upon

   ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ

   man,

   أَعْرَضَ

   he turns away -

   وَنَـَٔا

   and distances himself;

   بِجَانِبِهِۦ

   and distances himself;

   وَإِذَا

   but when

   مَسَّهُ

   touches him

   ٱلشَّرُّ

   the evil,

   فَذُو

   then (he is) full

   دُعَآءٍ

   (of) supplication

   عَرِيضٍ

   lengthy.

   And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication.

   41:51
