Sura 41 Fussilat (Explained In Detail), ayah 50

  1. وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ رَحْمَةً مِنَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَٰذَا لِي وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَةً وَلَئِنْ رُجِعْتُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي إِنَّ لِي عِنْدَهُ لَلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ

    Translation by words

    وَلَئِنْ
    And verily, if
    أَذَقْنَٰهُ
    We let him taste
    رَحْمَةً
    mercy
    مِّنَّا
    from Us
    مِنۢ
    after
    بَعْدِ
    after
    ضَرَّآءَ
    an adversity
    مَسَّتْهُ
    (has) touched him,
    لَيَقُولَنَّ
    he will surely say,
    هَٰذَا
    "This (is)
    لِى
    (due) to me
    وَمَآ
    and not
    أَظُنُّ
    I think
    ٱلسَّاعَةَ
    the Hour
    قَآئِمَةً
    (will be) established,
    وَلَئِن
    and if
    رُّجِعْتُ
    I am returned
    إِلَىٰ
    to
    رَبِّىٓ
    my Lord,
    إِنَّ
    indeed,
    لِى
    for me
    عِندَهُۥ
    with Him
    لَلْحُسْنَىٰ
    (will be) the best."
    فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ
    But We will surely inform
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    كَفَرُوا۟
    disbelieved
    بِمَا
    about what
    عَمِلُوا۟
    they did,
    وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم
    and We will surely make them taste
    مِّنْ
    of
    عَذَابٍ
    a punishment
    غَلِيظٍ
    severe.

    And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is (due) to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and (even) if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment.
