Sura 42 Ash-Shura (The Consultation), ayah 27

  1. وَلَوْ بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِ لَبَغَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنْ يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ

    Translation by words

    وَلَوْ
    And if
    بَسَطَ
    Allah extends
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah extends
    ٱلرِّزْقَ
    the provision
    لِعِبَادِهِۦ
    for His slaves,
    لَبَغَوْا۟
    surely they would rebel
    فِى
    in
    ٱلْأَرْضِ
    the earth;
    وَلَٰكِن
    but
    يُنَزِّلُ
    He sends down
    بِقَدَرٍ
    in (due) measure
    مَّا
    what
    يَشَآءُ
    He wills.
    إِنَّهُۥ
    Indeed, He
    بِعِبَادِهِۦ
    of His slaves
    خَبِيرٌۢ
    (is) All-Aware,
    بَصِيرٌ
    All-Seer.

    And if Allah had extended (excessively) provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends (it) down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is, of His servants, Acquainted and Seeing.
